However, we kindly request that you refrain from using our facility to dispose of unusable items. Accepting such items creates a financial burden, as we must pay employees to sort and dispose of them, taking up valuable time that could be better spent serving our community.

Our goal is to accept donations that can either be sold in our Thrift Store or distributed through our Assistance Program, provided they are in good, reusable condition. To ensure this, we follow specific guidelines and reserve the right to refuse donations that we cannot sell or use or if we are at total capacity for receiving them.

       We are unable to accept the following items:

• Stained, broken, or unusable items

• Furniture that is ripped, stained, scratched up from pets, exposed springs, or missing cushions

• Items that are missing parts or in need of repair

• Clothes that are wet or smell of mold, mildew, heavy smoke, urine (human or pet), mothballs, etc.

• Mattresses and box springs

• TVs that are older than 2 years old

• Encyclopedias, pornographic or distasteful books

• Items that have been stored in barns or storage buildings for excessive amounts of time and are soiled.

• Items that are bug-ridden, dust-filled, covered with spider webs or animal feces

• Computers, printers, and fax machines
